Islamabad, The Capital and Best Planned city of Pakistan

It is a newly constructed city as compared to other major cities of Pakistan like Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore etc. An interesting thing about the city is that, it is the first planned city of Pakistan. Being a very well-organized city, it is divided into different sectors and zones. The city has the highest literacy rate in Pakistan. Islamabad is blessed with natural beauty and greenery. It is the main center of attraction for many tourists.  It attracts a large number of visitors from all over the world annually. There are so many worth seeing places in Islamabad to visit. Some of the highly recommended places to visit in Islamabad are:

Faisal Mosque:

It is named after the great Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia who not only supported this project but also financed it as well. It is supposed to be the major attraction of Islamabad.

Lok Virsa or Folk Heritage Museum:
 Lok Virsa- Folk Heritage Museum-IslamabadIt is situated at Shakarparian Park. It has recently been re-done and now it is worth to visit. It has large numbers of halls which are purely dedicated to architecture and musical heritage. You will also find large collections of jewellery, woodwork, metalwork and block printing here. Folk Heritage Museum also hosts great number of national events, musical concerts and exhibitions throughout a year.

It is assumed to be an important viewpoint in Islamabad located in the hills above E-7 sector. Its beauty is enhanced by the greenery and flowers of different types. At Daman e Koh view point, you will find some high quality restaurants, hiking trails and lush green hillsides. Now it has become a favorite place for locals and foreign tourists.
